A Trello power-up to self-report and monitor emotions of agile teams.

This project is completed. Content is not removed from the website as it will be useful for future researchers who are conducting similar research.

PURPOSE

We have created an experimental Trello power-up (add-on) called Emotimonitor that allows you to add your emotional reactions to Trello cards (just like you can with messages on Slack and comments on Facebook).

This provides real-time self-reporting of the emotions of Agile teams in response to tasks and managers to monitor the emotional responses anonoymously. The goal is to have this tool used by software engineering teams in the industry.

We need participants to help us evaluate and improve the power-up.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

If you are interested in participating, please follow the next steps below and complete them by 11:55pm (AEST) on Sunday, the 19th of September, 2021. Please consider completing the evaluation as either a team member or a manager role. If you feel so inclined, we welcome you to evaluate the tool from both roles.

Access the survey available at this link, which comprises three parts:
1. Follow the instructions included at the top of the form to view a 2-minute demonstration on the power-up, how to use it, and how to access it on the sample Trello Board.
2. Test Emotimonitor in our sample Trello Board by adding reactions to the sample cards.
3. Complete the questions in the survey by the 19th of September. Let us know your feedback based on your experiences dealing with emotions in the software engineering industry and your brief use of the tool.
